draw line Chapter 5. Tcl Command Reference
draw line
draw line <x1> <y1> <x2> <y2> [-layer <arg>] [-id <arg>] [-rgb <args>]
[-batch] [-thickness <arg>]
This command allows you to draw a custom line on the GUIs layout view.
Argument Required/Optional Description
<x1> Required The required <x1> argument
specifies the first x coordinate
for the line.
<y1> Required The required <y1> argument
specifies the first y coordinate
for the line.
<x2> Required The required <x2> argument
specifies the second x coordinate
for the line.
<y2> Required The required <y2> argument
specifies the second y coordinate
for the line.
[-layer <arg>] Optional The optional -layer <layer>
option specifies the drawing
layer for the line. If this option is
not used, the top layer (5) will be
used. Using a value of 0 will
draw on the background.
[-id <arg>] Optional The optional -id <id> option
specifies a unique id for the line.
If this option is not used, a
unique id will be automatically
generated and returned by the
command.
[-rgb <args>] Optional The optional -rgb <rgb> option
specifies the rgb color value for
the line as a 3 element list of
integers red green blue. If this
option is not used, the color blue
will be used.
[-batch] Optional The optional -batch option
causes the GUI to not refresh
after this command. This is
useful when running many
draw commands in a row.
Afterwards, refresh drawing can
be called.
[-thickness <arg>] Optional The optional -thickness
<pixels> option specifies the
line thickness in pixels. If this
option is not used, a thickness of
1 will be used.
